Full Job Description

We are seeking an Intake Coordinator to join the Karen Horney Clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting psychiatric and diagnostic evaluations in a hospital or outpatient facility. LCSWs are preferred, but LMSWs will be considered.

Responsibilities:

- Complete approximately 5 intake evaluations per week
- Conduct about 2 hours of brief phone screens per week
- Collect and record patient information accurately
- Coordinate patient intake procedures efficiently, including insurance eligibility checks
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Utilize Accumedic EHR for charting
- Attend a weekly intake meeting

The candidate will ideally contribute half of their time to their role as an Intake Coordinator and the other half of their time as a psychotherapist providing psychodynamic psychotherapy to a caseload of approximately 15 patients per week. Weekly individual supervision will be provided.

This position is full time and includes paid time off, health insurance, and dental insurance. We also offer two-year post-degree training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which comprises individual and group supervision as well as psychodynamically oriented classes at no charge.

The mission of the Karen Horney Clinic is to offer low-cost psychoanalytic and psychotherapeutic services to individuals from all backgrounds and to provide training and opportunities for advanced mental health professionals.
