Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures in a fast-paced, sterile environment. Your expertise will ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through meticulous attention to aseptic technique and comprehensive patient assessment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative setting that values innovation, precision, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and sterile instruments are ready for surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons and surgical teams with patient positioning, instrument handling, and maintaining a sterile field throughout surgery.
Monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall condition during procedures to ensure stability and safety.
Administer medications, including IV infusions and sedation, following strict protocols and documentation standards.
Perform post-operative assessments, manage pain control strategies such as acute pain management techniques, and provide patient education on recovery processes.
Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Surgical Information Systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and support staff to deliver seamless perioperative care.

Skills

Extensive OR experience with proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile processing protocols.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation relevant to surgical procedures.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Surgical Information Systems for medical documentation and patient records management.
Ability to perform patient assessment accurately, including vital signs monitoring and physical examinations.
Competence in medication administration, IV insertion/infusion techniques, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing.
Familiarity with specialized surgeries such as: ophthalmology, oculo-plastics, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, pediatrics, breast
Knowledge of infection control practices

ACLS, BLS, PALS required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,400.00 per week
