Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook / Baker to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of baked goods and pastries that delight our customers. Your expertise in food preparation, laminating, and high-volume production will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talent in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including breads, pastries, croissants, and desserts with precision and creativity
Creativity in coming up with new pastries
Decorate pastries using various techniques to meet presentation standards
Manage food production processes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked items during high-volume periods
Handle food safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Package baked goods for retail sale or catering orders while maintaining product integrity and presentation
Assist in food preparation tasks for catering events or restaurant service as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and workstations to meet health regulations

Requirements

Proven pastry experience with a strong background in baking & pastry decorating
Solid understanding of food industry standards, including food safety management and handling procedures
Skilled in knife techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations within a high-volume environment
Experience with food production, catering, or restaurant settings is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients and team members effectively
Knowledge of packaging methods suitable for baked goods to ensure freshness during transport or sale
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
