Full Job Description

The East Bay's most reputable dog boarding and daycare is looking to hire.We are located on several acres of prime Lafayette real estate with large exercise yards and big individual indoor/outdoor runs. You must have transportation as we aren't located near public conveyance but we are right off Hwy 24 at the Upper Happy Valley Rd exit.

We can train the right person. Lots of cleaning and feeding and scooping of poop but lots of fun with dogs and our wonderful staff. Our records are computerized, you will be expected to learn our computerized reservation system, Gingr, and will work in reception or in the kennel depending on work flow. You must be motivated and a go-getter and have some good sense.

At this time we are looking for someone to take a morning shift starting anywhere from 6 am to 8am and working until noon or 2. We can be a little flexible with the hours. This could become a full time position if things work out.

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know, but, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
Ability to use a computer and learn our reservation system.
Work both independently and with a team
Attention to detail and follow a multi-step processes
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

We are an awesome place to work and care about our teams, so we want to make sure we are clear on a few more basics that we expect:

Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
Climb up and down ladders
Lifting up to 50 pounds safely.
Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) reliable and prompt attendance necessary. People are here from 6am to 8pm.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, winter weather and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to servicing kennel enclosures, play yards, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)

You MUST have a drivers license and your own reliable transportation as in a car. You might be needed to run an errand for work or take a dog to a vet.

The first interview will be via FACETIME so you must have an iphone. Give us a couple times you are available for this.
