Full Job Description

Local precast concrete manufacturer seeking EXPERIENCED, hard working concrete laborers for our precast concrete manhole production plant. Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, have a valid driver’s license and transportation to our plant. Applicants must work well with others and be familiar with OSHA safety protocols. General knowledge of construction tools, equipment and concrete work a plus. Work days are Monday - Friday and Saturdays during peak season. Competitive wages based on experience. - Job Description/Duties

1. Responsible for following all company and safety policies for the general safety of all employees.

2. Assist in pouring concrete, setting concrete forms, cutting or setting rebar and other materials as needed.

3. Assist in placing & removing tarps and other curing materials on precast products as needed.

4. Apply form grease and/or oil to concrete forms and maintain other equipment as needed.

5. Continuous monitoring of job site to maintain a safe work area by following OSHA safety protocol.

6. Maintain communication with all crew members and foreman for proper production of products as well as the safety of others.

7. Attach cables and other rigging devices to transport precast products safely.

8. Anticipate project needs and place material and/or tools appropriately to keep crew moving without delay.

9. Prepare tools, as well as safely and efficiently use tools necessary such as shovels, forms, ladders, saws, hammers, etc.

10. Responsible for care of job site tools, as well as putting tools and supplies away at the end of the work day and maintaining a clean work area.

11. Safe operation of equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, power washers etc…

12. Possible reduction in hours/layoff during winter months depending on weather.

13. Ability to follow instructions and retain prior learning.

14. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

1. Must be available to work Monday thru Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday’s 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours may be more/ less due to project needs & weather conditions. *Hours are not guaranteed*

2. Must have valid driver’s license and transportation to/from site.

3. Must be able to lift +/-50 lbs to/from ground level to truck level.

4. Ability to sit/stand/bend/stoop for periods of time.

5. Ability to climb up and down equipment and concrete structures.

6. Ability to rotate upper body/head to check surroundings.

7. Must be able to read a tape measure.

8. Must be able to read and speak English.

9. Must understand and follow OSHA safety regulations.

10. Ability to work well and safely with others.

11. PUNCTUAL attendance EACH day.
