About Us:

At Q92 WDJQ & AM 1310 WDPN, we're more than just a radio station—we’re a family owned station that is LIVE & Local. From chart-topping hits to the latest news, weather and sports, we bring music and up to date information to our audience every day via our broadcast, social media and digital outlets. We’re looking for a dynamic, music-loving socialite to join our team as a Radio Sales Representative. If you have a knack for building relationships, a love for music, and a flair for sales, we want you on our team!

Position Overview:

As a Radio Account Manager, you will be the driving force behind bringing in new business to the station while promoting the unique value of our programming. You will leverage your social skills, your love for music, and your network to create custom marketing solutions for businesses looking to reach our engaged audience.

This role is part salary, part commission—giving you the best of both worlds. The more successful you are in generating sales and cultivating relationships, the more you earn! Whether you’re chatting with a local restaurant owner or pitching an exciting brand partnership, your influence will have a direct impact on both your clients and your paycheck.

Key Responsibilities:

Build Relationships: Use your social and networking skills to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with local businesses and brands, helping them create effective advertising solutions tailored to their needs.
Sell Advertising Solutions: Sell customized radio marketing solutions (on-air spots, digital, social media, events, etc.) to businesses, with a focus on music and entertainment-related content.
Negotiate Deals: Handle negotiations with clients, balancing their advertising goals with your station’s offerings to ensure mutually beneficial arrangements.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about current music trends, local events, and competitor offerings to identify sales opportunities and effectively position the station’s value proposition.
Meet Sales Goals: Work toward sales targets and KPIs, ensuring you're meeting both revenue expectations and client satisfaction.
Attend Events: Represent the station at various events, concerts, and social gatherings, both within the music industry and broader community, to build brand awareness and foster client relationships.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the programming, marketing, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of client campaigns.

Sales Savvy: A proven track record in sales or a keen interest in developing a career in sales. You should be comfortable with both cold outreach and relationship-based selling.
Self-Motivated: You have a drive to succeed, are goal-oriented, and are excited about earning through a commission structure.
Organized & Detail-Oriented: While socializing is key, you can juggle multiple tasks and follow through on all your deals.
People Person: You thrive in social settings, love meeting new people, and enjoy being the center of attention at social gatherings. Your strong networking skills will help you develop rapport with key decision-makers.
Creativity: Ability to think outside the box when developing ad solutions and campaigns that stand out from the crowd.
Music Enthusiast: A true passion for music is a must! Your love for music will resonate with our audience and clients alike.

Compensation:

Base Salary: Competitive base salary, providing you with stability and security.
