Admissions Coordinator - Detox Center (Hybrid 2nd Shift)

Hybrid Role: 2 days in office in Berwyn, PA

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Admissions Coordinator to join our team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients, families, and referral sources, guiding them through the admissions process with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have prior admissions experience within the behavioral health, substance use disorder (SUD), or treatment center setting. Candidates with strong customer service skills, insurance verification experience, call center backgrounds, and proficiency using CRM systems such as Salesforce are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls from prospective patients, families, referral sources, and healthcare professionals.
Conduct initial admissions screenings and gather necessary clinical and demographic information.
Coordinate the admissions process from initial inquiry through admission.
Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage information accurately.
Document all interactions thoroughly and accurately within Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely admissions.
Maintain accurate records while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Provide exceptional customer service during what is often a stressful time for patients and families.
Follow up with referral sources and prospective patients as appropriate.
Meet established response time and documentation expectations.

Qualifications

Required

Previous admissions experience in a behavioral health, substance use disorder, or healthcare treatment setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
High level of professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

Preferred

Experience in a treatment center admissions department.
Prior call center or high-volume inbound phone experience.
Insurance verification and benefits authorization experience.
Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform.
Knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment services.
