Full Job Description

Konrady Plastics is a family owned plastics machining and distribution business. The Konrady Family and team takes their company values seriously. Konrady Plastics has various HAAS CNC machines and produces plastic parts for a variety of industries: health & public safety, food processing, heavy industry, logistics and warehousing, and others. Konrady Plastics just received Best Places to Work For in Indiana.

Job Summary: We are seeking someone who has experience with setting up and running a HAAS mill machine and programming with MasterCam.

General Responsibilities

Read and understand prints to program parts for each machine
Set up, test, and adjust machines according to product specifications. Identify appropriate tooling for jobs.
Program parts using MasterCam for HAAS Mills and work with operators to adjust programs as needed
Present new ideas related to machining and programming to increase efficiencies
Train upcoming talent with setups and questions
Load raw material into machines
Follow nonconforming guidelines when scrap is issued
Position, align, and secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds
Start machines and monitor their operations
Escalate issues to the Shop Foreman
Document all required inspection reports accurately
Read and follow the schedule of jobs due each day
Measure and document first piece and receive verification on first piece from a qualified inspector using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers
Measure additional pieces throughout a run to verify conformance to specifications
Examine completed workpieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws
Maintain, clean, and lubricate machines as well as maintain clean work station/area
Comply with all OSHA and Konrady Plastics safety rules

Job Qualifications

MUST be able to set up jobs on HAAS Mills
MUST be have experience to program using MasterCam or equivalent software
Have a sense of urgency to complete parts in an efficient manner
Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs
Ability to accurately measure parts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour
