Full Job Description

Foundry Group is proud to be partnering with a highly respected Commercial General Contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing Tampa team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a financially strong contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality ground-up commercial projects throughout Florida. With a substantial pipeline of secured work and ambitious growth plans, they are looking for an experienced estimator who wants to play a key role in the continued success of the business.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take ownership of the estimating process from initial bid through to project handover, preparing competitive and accurate estimates on a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.

Commercial Office
Healthcare
Industrial

Hospitality
Mixed-Use
Multifamily

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed conceptual, schematic and hard-bid estimates.
Review drawings, specifications and bid documents.
Perform quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis.
Solicit, evaluate and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
Develop complete bid packages and scopes of work.
Identify value engineering opportunities.
Work closely with Preconstruction, Operations and Executive Leadership throughout the bid process.
Participate in client meetings, presentations and post-bid reviews.
Assist with budgeting, procurement strategy and project turnover.
Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients.

Requirements

7+ years of estimating experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
Strong background in ground-up commercial construction.
Experience estimating projects valued from $5M to $100M+.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials and pricing.
Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
Stable employment history.
Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
