Full Job Description

Village Support Coordinator

Agape Village

Position Summary

Agape Village is a transitional housing program that provides a safe, supportive, and structured community for individuals experiencing homelessness. Grounded in the values of Success, Respect, Sobriety, and Safety, Agape Village seeks to help participants achieve stability, build healthy relationships, and move toward permanent housing.

The Village Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting participants, maintaining community standards, and assisting with daily village operations. This position combines case management, participant coaching, community engagement, and administrative responsibilities to help create an environment where residents can thrive.

Reports To

Operations Director

Primary Responsibilities

Participant Support & Case Management

Assist with participant intake, interviews, orientation, and onboarding.
Facilitate goal-setting meetings and support participants in developing action plans for housing and stability.
Build trusting relationships with participants through consistent engagement and encouragement.
Help participants identify barriers and connect with community resources, programs, and services.
Provide coaching in areas such as life skills, conflict resolution, personal accountability, and decision-making.
Monitor participant progress and encourage continued movement toward established goals.
Maintain participant records, case notes, and required documentation.
Assist with HMIS data entry and reporting requirements.

Community Support & Accountability

Help maintain a safe, respectful, and sober community environment.
Address behavioral concerns and hold participants accountable to village expectations.
Support conflict resolution between participants and assist with de-escalation when necessary.
Conduct regular wellness check-ins with participants.
Assist in ensuring chores, community responsibilities, and village standards are being met.
Participate in and support weekly village meetings and community gatherings.

Village Operations

Staff the village office or front gate area, welcoming visitors, volunteers, and participants.
Monitor access to the village and maintain visitor and volunteer records.
Perform regular pod and facility inspections to identify cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns.
Maintain village logs, volunteer schedules, and other administrative records.
Assist with light cleaning, organization, and general upkeep of village facilities and grounds.
Report maintenance, safety, and operational concerns to the Village Manager. [

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, mental health challenges, or other vulnerable populations.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to support and uphold the mission and values of Agape Village.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in case management, housing navigation, peer support, or social services.
Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related education.
Certified Peer Support Specialist or similar credential.
Experience with HMIS or similar case management databases.
Personal recovery experience with a minimum of 12 months of sobriety, if applicable.
Experience working in transitional housing, shelters, or recovery-focused programs.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk throughout the village and conduct pod inspections.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
