Full Job Description

FAYCO Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a Registered Nurse Trainer to join our nursing team to meet medication administration needs and monitor health issues for adults with intellectual disabilities

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse Trainer to pass medications, complete annual nursing assessments, and to train agency staff regarding medication administration & health and safety issues. This is a full-time position working Tuesday through Saturday with shared on-call duties. The position is based out of our Vandalia location.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and staff on health management and treatment plans.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in nursing care to deliver high-quality services.

-Process orders from physicians

-Monthly medication check in

-Correct handling and disposal of medication following Rule 116 from DHS

-Work cooperatively with Program Coordinators, House Managers and staff in Residential and Day Program Settings

-Other Duties as assigned

- Provide direct patient care, including administering medication, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.

- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and address patient needs effectively.

Requirements:

*Have and maintain a current unencumbered IL Registered Nurse license with necessary malpractice insurance (we reimburse up to $100 for insurance)

* Possess 1 year of clinical RN experience within the last 5 years, preferably with developmental disabilities

* Be at least 21 years of age

*Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

*Have a demonstrated ability to relate to individuals with intellectual disabilities
