Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Event Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in event management, customer service, and hospitality within a lively environment that values creativity and teamwork.

Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating all aspects of events, including venue setup, catering arrangements, and guest accommodations
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored event solutions that meet their expectations
Manage event budgets by tracking expenses, negotiating contracts with vendors, and ensuring cost-effective operations
Support marketing efforts by promoting upcoming events through social media, email campaigns, and onsite signage
Oversee event timelines and logistics to ensure timely execution from start to finish
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a positive atmosphere
Coordinate with staff to ensure proper staffing levels, technical setup, and adherence to safety protocols

Skills
Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and partners
Proficiency in marketing strategies related to event promotion and upselling techniques
Excellent event planning and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and external vendors
Experience managing event budgets and understanding financial aspects of event management
Technical proficiency with event management software or related tools
Background in hospitality or restaurant management, banquet service, or hotel operations is highly desirable
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism
