Full Job Description

About The Team

The Card & ATM/ITM Operations team works in collaboration with the retail teams to research and resolve member inquiries. This role is responsible for routine and non-routine duties requiring knowledge of Dispute processing. Complete tasks in compliance with Chargeback rules and guidelines, Regulation E, Regulation Z, and PCI DSS. Supports member service center and branch network to resolve member questions or concerns related to disputes and the card and ATM/ITM network. Assist with quality control and reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts in partnership with Accounting.

Schedule: 8AM to 5PM (Mon -Wed) 8AM-6PM (Th-F)

This position is fully on site and will require travel to Ventura, CA

What You’ll Do

Complete all tactical responsibilities related to dispute management as assigned by management which will include but are not limited to:

- Process fraud and non-fraud disputes in accordance with chargeback and regulatory guidelines
- Fraud claim investigations
- Card/ATM Network
- Digital support for related vendors/issues
- Communicate claim updates to members and internal partners as needed.
- Work with vendors to resolve dispute claims

Research, resolve, and respond timely to card dispute inquiries and issues. Escalating to the appropriate team member or management when necessary.
Assists with all MasterCard ADC and other card comprise investigations, card replacements, member correspondence and all other related tasks.
Receive and resolve incoming requests including calls from members and branch staff related to all products and services supported by card and ATM/ITM operations including credit, debit and ATM cards, ATM Network, and related functions.
Complete documentation on all card fraud claims and files with insurance carriers.
Perform other transactional services, including teller transactions, in accordance with training and documented procedures such as general ledger research and reconciliation.
Assist with preparing reports and shares with management.
May assist with assigned departmental projects, including system updates and enhancements, by participating in testing activities, validating transactions, documenting results, and reporting findings to management.
Act as backup for other colleagues within the Card & ATM/ITM Operations team as necessary.

What We’re Seeking

Requires 3 years of financial services experience, 1 year transaction dispute processing experience
Experience with Jack Henry Symitar Core and/or Card Processing vendors such as Velera, MasterCard and Centrix DTS processing system.
Personal computer skills required with proficiency in Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Word and Excel.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required or equivalent combination of education or directly related experience required.

Previous experience in card processing preferred. Familiarity with the Truth-in-Savings and Electronic Funds Disclosure as well as VCCU’s products and service offerings.
