Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: To perform and operate the Mag Inspection (MT) and Penetrant Inspection (PT) section in its entirety and maintain Quality Control routines within the production areas as required.

Daily Job Functions to Achieve Goals:

· Equipment & Compliance: Set up, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment to ensure process compliance and support Nadcap accreditation.

· Inspection Operations: Conduct PT and MT inspections to detect discontinuities, following established techniques and strict safety regulations.

·Technical Development: Establish and apply testing techniques and criteria based on applicable specifications/standards to evaluate results.

· Quality Control: Perform Quality Control duties and carry out additional Special Processes as required.

· Documentation: Accurately report test results and maintain all required NDT and Quality Department documentation.

· Leadership & Training: Train staff in NDT/Special Processes and maintain productive relationships with Team Leaders.

· General: Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Performance Standards:

Standards of performance are obtained when:

1. All key tasks are completed on time and correctly the first time.

2. Maintain NDT Level II status and ensure the section remains fully accredited to Quality Assurance and customer requirements.

3. Safety standards are consistently met or exceeded.

4. All logs and technical records are accurately maintained and updated in accordance with company policy.

5. All training assessments achieve a minimum score of 80%.

6. Professional communication levels are maintained in line with company expectations.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Skills Required:

· Highly organized and detail-oriented with technical expertise to support company systems and processes. Must meet all NAS 410 eligibility requirements to sit for PT and MT Level II examinations.

Technology:

· Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing NDT equipment and specialized tooling to maximize inspection efficiency and quality.

Communication:

· Communicates technical information clearly and concisely; responds effectively to inquiries and practices active listening to ensure process accuracy and discretion.

Quality:

· Demonstrates meticulous accuracy and thoroughness in all inspections; proactively identifies opportunities to enhance process quality and reliability.

· Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical challenges from multiple perspectives.

Physical Demands:

The employee is required to:

Maintain the physical activity required for NDT inspections, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Requires manual dexterity for handling parts.
Requires visual acuity and capacity for high-precision color and detail recognition.
Capable of exerting up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and maintaining frequent movement of objects up to 10 lbs. to support NDT operations.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

License/Certification:

NDT PT Level 2 Certification (Required)
