Full Job Description

Busy Arlington Veterinary Clinic has open position for PT for Kennel Technician.

Scheduled days and hours may vary based on hospital need. Must have weekend availability. This position requires standing for long periods of time and heavy lifting may be involved.

Kennel Technicians are responsible for walking animals, providing food and water, maintaining clean runs and clean walking areas, documenting information on cage sheets, notifying DVMs and/or Practice Manager of any illness or problem with pets to provide immediate medical attention. Kennel Techs are also responsible for cleaning floors, cleaning surgery/grooming kennels, and general hospital maintenance.

Qualifications:

Client Service: Maintain a professional appearance and calm demeanor with all clients, patients and team members.

Patient Care: Address any medical or health issues to DVM on duty.

Knowledge: Patient restraint techniques; animal behavior.

Abilities: Professional and courteous, flexible, willingness to learn, attention to detail is paramount, adherence to procedures and protocols, works well in team environment, self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.

Prior Kennel Tech experience is preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
