Full Job Description

Lawson’s Finest Liquids is a B Corp certified, values-driven craft brewery committed to delivering the finest and freshest beer alongside memorable, human-centered hospitality experiences. The Events Manager plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the Taproom events program, creating experiences that drive guest engagement, strengthen the Lawson’s Finest brand, and support overall revenue growth

Reporting directly to the Head of Hospitality, this role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Taproom events, private events, and on-site activations. The Events Manager works cross-functionally with Marketing Leadership to ensure all events align with Lawson’s Finest standards and contribute to establishing the Waitsfield location as a premier destination in Central Vermont.

Primary Responsibilities

Events Program Ownership

Own and manage the Taproom events calendar, including public events, semi-private, private events, and onsite Taproom activations
Own and evolve the in-house music program, including two consistent weekly music nights and one monthly music event, as a core driver of community engagement, guest experience, and events revenue
Coordinate artist communication, scheduling, and execution to ensure a consistent, high-quality music experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for all event inquiries, ensuring timely and professional communication
Plan and execute events from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with Lawson’s Finest brand standards and guest experience expectations
Ensure events are well-organized, on-brand, and executed at a high level of quality
Act as the on-site lead for event execution, ensuring seamless guest experiences
Financial Tracking & ROI: Monitor, analyze, and report on event performance metrics, including bookings, revenue, margin, labor cost, and space utilization.
Billing & Administrative Accuracy: Manage all event financial administrative duties, including collecting deposits, processing final payments, and tracking event-related expenses
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all events adhere to state and local regulations, including Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery (DLL) compliance, capacity limits, and safety protocols

Semi-Private, Private Events & Revenue Development

Master event software “TripleSeat” for event optimization, targeted communication and event visibility
Manage and grow the Taproom semi-private and soon to be private events program
Support sales efforts by responding to inquiries, building relationships, and converting booking.
Develop creative event solutions that meet guest needs while aligning with operational capabilities
Monitor event performance, including bookings, revenue, and utilization
Support pricing, packages, and offerings that drive profitability while maintaining brand integrity

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Marketing to align events with broader campaigns, promotions, and brand initiatives
Coordinate with Marketing to plan, promote, and execute quarterly signature events that strengthen guest engagement, community connection, and brand relevance
Over time, help develop a flagship Lawson’s Finest event that becomes a recognizable, regional, high-impact annual experience for guests, the community, and the brand
Collaborate with Taproom Leadership to ensure operational readiness for all events
Communicate event details clearly to staff, ensuring awareness and alignment across teams
Support coordination of event-related materials, promotions, and guest communications
Menu & Package Development: Partner with the culinary and beverage teams to develop, price, and update creative food and beverage packages that meet guest needs while maintaining profitability and brand recognition
Brewery & Inventory Liaison: Collaborate with the brewing teams to ensure event-specific beers; special /seasonal releases appropriately planned, requested, and available for event dates
Retail & Merchandising Integration: Partner with the retail lead to identify merchandising opportunities within events
Operational Readiness: Conduct weekly cross functional run of show meetings with Taproom Leadership to communicate logistics, staffing requirements, floor layout changes

Guest Experience & Brand Alignment

Ensure all events reflect the Lawson’s Finest hospitality experience and brand identity
Help position the Taproom as a premier destination by delivering consistently engaging and high-quality events and experiences
Focus on creating memorable, engaging, and community-driven experiences
Identify opportunities to enhance guest engagement through events and activations
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, organization, and execution across all events

Taproom Leadership Responsibilities

Provide Taproom Management coverage as needed. 2-3 MOD shifts/week
Maintain a visible and supportive presence during events and peak business periods
Support overall service standards and guest experience execution
Reinforce Lawson’s Finest service standards and hospitality culture
Coach team members in real time on guest engagement and service execution
Address operational needs and support team performance during service

B Corp Integration & Community Engagement

Social Impact (SIP) Program: Actively integrate Lawson’s Finest’s Social Impact Program (SIP) into the events framework. Coordinate with community partners and non-profits for benefit nights, donation drives, and community centric activations.
Sustainable Event Practices: Ensure event operations align with B Corp standards by minimizing waste, prioritizing composting/recycling, sourcing local Vermont vendors, and eco-friendly decorations.
Inclusive Accessibility: Ensure event spaces and programming are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive to all members of the community.

Starting salary: $70,000
