The Orange East Supervisory Union (OESU) seeks an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic Technology Coordinator to join our technology team. Headquartered in Bradford, Vermont, OESU proudly serves a vibrant and diverse community of students, faculty, and staff across our school buildings in the scenic Upper Connecticut River Valley.Situated close to the White Mountains, our region offers an exceptional quality of life. Our communities enjoy easy access to the vibrant cultural hub of the Dartmouth College area while preserving the very best of rural New England culture, community spirit, and outdoor recreation.Position Summary & CompetenciesThe Technology Coordinator provides the technical expertise, operational support, and instructional partnership necessary to maintain a secure, robust, and innovative digital learning environment across OESU school buildings.Working as a collaborative member of the OESU technology team, this professional serves as a vital resource for our educational communities. In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, the successful candidate must be prepared to handle modern educational technology challenges, including: Technology & AI Integration: Leading and supporting the thoughtful, ethical, and effective integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) tools, into instructional practices and administrative workflows.Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Compliance: Proactively managing network security protocols, threat mitigation, and ensuring strict compliance with student data privacy laws (such as FERPA, COPPA, and state regulations).Cloud & Systems Management: Overseeing integrated cloud ecosystems (e.g., Google Workspace for Education, modern Student Information Systems, and localized networks) to ensure seamless operational continuity across assigned campuses.Collaborative Communication: Serving as a clear, patient bridge between technical infrastructure and classroom learning by working alongside educators, building leaders, and students to foster a tech-empowered school culture.Instructional Integration & Classroom Support ExpectationsThe Technology Coordinator is both a technical systems leader and an essential instructional partner to our schools.

A primary focus of this role is delivering consistent, high-quality support to our faculty and classrooms to ensure technology seamlessly enhances student engagement and learning outcomes.Specific expectations in this area include: Teacher Coaching & Collaboration: Partnering with educators 1-on-1 or in professional learning communities (PLCs) to model, co-plan, and implement technology-rich lessons that align with modern pedagogical frameworks (such as SAMR or TPACK).Professional Development: Designing and facilitating ongoing, engaging professional learning opportunities for staff on current tools, software platforms, digital citizenship, and emerging instructional technologies.Classroom Innovation Support: Actively assisting teachers and students in classrooms with the launch of new digital projects, STEM/STEAM initiatives, and specialized elective tools (e.g., design software, coding platforms, or media production).Accessible Instructional Troubleshooting: Serving as a patient, reliable resource for faculty during the school day, helping them resolve immediate digital hurdles so that valuable instructional time is maximized in the classroom.Curriculum & Equity Alignment: Collaborating with building leadership and colleagues to ensure that digital tools across grades are systematically integrated, equitable, and age-appropriate.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: A Bachelors degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a closely related field is required.Experience: Minimum of 35 years of progressive experience in network administration, systems management, or instructional technology coordination, preferably within a K12 educational setting. An equivalent combination of advanced certifications (e.g., Google Certified Coach/Trainer, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CoSN CETL) and proven field experience will be highly valued.Core Skills: * Exceptional communication, troubleshooting, and project-management skills.Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff with patience, empathy, and clarity.Proven track record of working both independently as a self-starter and collaboratively as an adaptable member of a broader technology team.
