Full Job Description

About the Role

The Sales & Service Specialist is the first point of contact for STRATA Networks customers in the Vernal, Utah, retail store, providing exceptional service and support through phone and in-person interactions. This role helps customers with billing questions, service requests, account changes, and product information while promoting STRATA’s products and services. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused team player with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

Assist customers with billing inquiries, new service requests, disconnects, and account changes.
Process service applications, gather customer information, and complete required documentation.
Review credit references for new customers and ensure accurate account setup.
Process billing adjustments and service changes accurately and efficiently.
Provide professional and welcoming support to customers by phone and in the retail office.
Promote STRATA Networks products, services, and solutions.
Develop knowledge of company offerings to better assist customers.
Collaborate with team members to achieve customer service and company goals.

What You Bring to the Team

To be successful, you’ll need:

High school diploma required; business degree or 2–5 years of customer service, sales, or retail experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and solve problems quickly.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to type 45 words per minute with 90% accuracy.

Work Environment and Conditions

Primarily office-based with regular customer interaction.
Occasional travel between STRATA office locations may be required.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Physical Demands

Ability to read computer screens, reports, and customer documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
