- Establish consistent classroom routines and use positive, age-appropriate behavior-management strategies.
- Monitor student progress through observations, classroom activities, assignments, assessments, and student work.
- Differentiate instruction and provide individualized support for students with varying academic, developmental, and learning needs.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families about student progress, accomplishments, concerns, and ways to support learning at home.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, school leaders, support staff, and families to help every student succeed.
- Maintain accurate student records and complete required lesson plans, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, school activities, and family-engagement events.
- Help students develop kindness, responsibility, perseverance, independence, and respect for others.
