Job Title: Procurement Specialist / General Procurement Expert II

Location: Verona, WI 53593 (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract (W2 Only)

Duration: 3 months contract

Pay Rate: $30 - $35/hour on W2 (No Benefits)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for procuring materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, maintaining procurement data, and ensuring on-time delivery of goods to support production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong procurement experience, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Procure materials, goods, and services to support manufacturing operations.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms with suppliers.
Create, review, and maintain purchase orders and procurement master data.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and purchasing schedules to meet production requirements.
Identify procurement risks and implement effective solutions.
Support supplier qualification and sourcing initiatives.
Maintain accurate procurement records within ERP/MRP systems.
Analyze purchasing and inventory data using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to improve procurement and supply chain performance.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies, and procurement procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, or a related field OR
High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of equivalent purchasing or planning experience.
3+ years of procurement or purchasing experience using ERP/MRP systems.
4+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong experience using SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of ISO and cGMP environments.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF functions.
Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
