The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Provides enterprise-wide leadership, strategy, and execution oversight for contract lifecycle management (CLM), terms and conditions governance, and supplier-related contractual performance across the University. Serves as the senior accountable authority for the development, standardization, and enforcement of contracting policies, processes, and systems to ensure consistency, compliance, risk mitigation, and value realization. Leads the transformation of contracting into a centralized, strategic capability by establishing governance frameworks, driving adoption of standardized workflows, and enabling enterprise visibility into contract performance. Delivers measurable financial outcomes, including cost savings, rebate realization, and pricing accuracy, while ensuring all contractual agreements align with institutional standards and risk tolerance.

Essential Functions:

Leads and owns the enterprise-wide contract lifecycle management (CLM) strategy, governance model, and operating framework. Establishes standardized processes, approval structures, and contracting policies to ensure consistency, compliance, and risk mitigation across the organization. Drives execution of the multi-phase CLM transformation roadmap to build a centralized, scalable, and enterprise-wide contracting capability.
Drives contract-related financial outcomes, including cost savings, rebate realization, cost avoidance, and pricing accuracy for the entire University. Establishes reporting frameworks, analytics, and monitoring processes to ensure measurable value capture, financial transparency, and sustained performance improvement across all supplier and contractual agreements.
Oversees end-to-end contract lifecycle operations, including intake, workflow management, execution, renewal, and closeout. Directs the optimization and governance of CLM systems, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and enterprise visibility while enabling scalable, efficient contracting processes.
Serves as the central authority for contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with institutional standards and risk tolerance. Partners closely with Legal to guide complex negotiations, maintain standardized contract language, and ensure appropriate governance and mitigation of contractual risk across the enterprise.
Leads enterprise supplier performance management through the development of performance frameworks, scorecards, and executive business reviews. Drives accountability for vendor performance relative to contractual obligations and works with stakeholders to address gaps and optimize supplier outcomes.
Leads and develops a high-performing contract management organization. Engages executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, adoption of contracting standards, and enterprise-wide accountability. Oversees workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development to support long-term strategic growth.

Minimum Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree and ten years of progressive leadership experience including 5 years of experience in contract management and negotiations required.

Demonstrated experience establishing enterprise contracting strategies and governance models required
Proven track record of delivering measurable financial outcomes required
Deep knowledge of contract lifecycle management processes and systems.
Experience implementing or optimizing CLM technologies required
Strong understanding of legal and contractual principles and risk management required
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organizational change required
Exceptional communication and influencing skills across leadership levels.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities required
Experience in complex, regulated environments preferred
