Full Job Description

Overview
PRN job opening Pre-Op/ PACU in a fast paced environment. 1099 tax employee. No guaranteed number of shifts per week/month. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing treatment protocols. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Perform various nursing procedures.
Provide care to patients in an outpatient surgery setting.
Monitor patients in Pre-Op/PACU.
Educate patients and their families about post operative recovery and instructions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Work in OR along side physicians.

Requirements

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in emergency room settings or outpatient care is preferred.
Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques; additional certifications in advanced life support are a plus.
Previous Operating room or Pre-Op/PACU experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in nursing practices.
