Construction Project Manager
General Construction, Renovation & Specialty Projects
Victoria, Texas | Full-Time | $60,000 + Performance Bonuses
South Texas Fence & Deck is a well-established Victoria-based construction company with 15 years of experience serving the Crossroads. As we expand into general contracting, remodeling, renovation, and other multi-scope construction work, we are creating a new Project Manager position to help lead this next phase of growth.
This is a field-oriented role. The primary focus will be GC, whole-home remodeling, renovation, and similar contracts from approved scope through completion, while also managing standard company projects involving decks, porches/covers, concrete footers and flatwork, pool/perimeter fencing, gates, and related exterior scopes. We welcome experienced Project Managers and Superintendents as well as remodelers, construction supervisors, or lead carpenters who have successfully run jobs and crews.
Job Description:
- Manage general construction, remodeling, renovation, and specialty projects from approved scope or awarded contract through completion and turnover.
- Build practical schedules from scopes, plans, and contract requirements; sequence trades, milestones, inspections, and material needs.
- Coordinate company crews, subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveries so work stays productive and properly sequenced.
- Maintain a strong jobsite presence; verify measurements, progress, workmanship, safety, scope compliance, and project documentation.
- Track labor, materials, committed/actual costs, change conditions, and potential overruns—and bring forward solutions early.
- Manage assigned STFD exterior scopes, including fencing, decks, porches/covers, concrete, gates, and related site work; close out punch lists and final corrections.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in residential construction, whole-home remodeling/renovation, construction supervision, superintendent work, project management, or a strong carpentry background with experience leading projects and crews.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, job costing, quality control, and trade coordination.
- Hands-on construction judgment and the ability to recognize good workmanship, identify problems early, and make sound field decisions. Carpentry, framing, finish, or remodeling experience is highly valued.
- Ability to coordinate and hold accountable multiple crews, subcontractors, vendors, and trades while keeping customers and leadership informed.
- A practical problem-solver who communicates clearly, follows through, and is comfortable using software for schedules, budgets, approvals, daily reports, and jobsite photos.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Victoria/Crossroads area. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
