Paving Foreman- Temporary
This position will last for a duration of approximately one week in Early August, and the jobsite is located in Apple Valley, CA.

Job Description:
As a Paving Foreman - Temporary at Cornerstone Construction Company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating paving activities on-site. Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, you will lead and manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors to ensure this paving project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
· Operate a LeeBoy 7000C asphalt paving machine and similar equipment, including setup, screed adjustment, paving width configuration, and monitoring material flow to ensure proper asphalt placement, smooth mat appearance, and compliance with project specifications while coordinating with subcontractors and laborers.
· Supervise daily construction activities, including scheduling resources, ordering materials, coordinating, and directing subcontractors and laborers.
· Ensure adherence to project plans, schedules, specifications, and safety standards, maintaining high levels of quality and craftsmanship while driving project completions.
· Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to verify work meets established standards and contractual requirements.
· Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure efficient workflow.
· Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and inventory logs.
· Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and codes.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in paving operations and construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Proven track record of successfully managing commercial, public works and residential paving projects.
· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
· Knowledge of construction hot mix asphalt paving methods, materials, and safety protocols. Experience with public street and roadway paving is preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, Civil plans, drawings, and specifications.
· OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and productivity.
