Full Job Description

Broussard's is searching for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant. This position calls for a caring blend of customer service and administrative duties. Our ideal candidate has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), is proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook, and has good working knowledge of digital files. Position can be fast paced and requires good listening skills while paying careful attention to detail.

Schedule Expectations

Usual work hours 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. with 1 hour unpaid lunch, when possible. Some overtime required.
Work 2 weekends per month
Work schedule: 10 days ON, 4 days OFF
Be available to work some national holidays

Performance Expectations

Treats clients and coworkers with courtesy and respect
Maintains clean and organized workspace
Positively responds to requests for assistance from co-workers, supervisors and clients
Notices when help is needed in all areas of the company

Qualifications

Is passionate about caring for those in need
Has a reputation for providing great service to clients and co-workers
Communicates professionally in person and in writing
Is an expert at multitasking and has great attention to detail
Has good problem solving skills
Is able to work independently and as a team member
Works well with short deadlines

Primary Responsibilities

Obituaries: Generate and submit to newspaper
Insurance: Verify policy and obtain forms to file claim
Photos: Organize and scan photos for keepsake and video
Data Entry: Enter all case info; maintain organized files
Answer Phone Inquiries
