**A TYPING TEST MAY BE GIVEN**
SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, process financial revenue of water and sewer billings from billing to receipt of payment; maintains appropriate recordkeeping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
85% Enters all accounts receivable for Trumbull County Water and Sewer, enters information into computer or computes amounts due. Receives and processes water and sewer billing funds (e.g., receives and opens revenues, posts accounts, etc.); records all payments and receipts. Prepares daily deposits from control report; maintains filing and storage of all receipts. Penalize accounts, do all end of month reports. Opens daily mail and prepares for next days deposit.
10% Maintains customer Auto pay, performs routine clerical tasks; types, files, prepare notices, records information, retrieves documents, answers telephone and responds to inquiries and complaints from general public.
5% Accepts payments at counter and answers customer inquiries as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in different situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to use data entry terminal and other software applications as required (i.e. IBM, Munis and Microsoft Office Applications).
