Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently to optimize seating flow
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely and attentive service throughout each guest’s dining experience
- Lead and support servers by assigning tables, overseeing service quality, and fostering teamwork
- Take and relay guest orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Ensure all food and beverage orders meet quality standards before delivery to guests
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and maintain positive guest relations to enhance overall satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, dining areas, and service stations
- Uphold restaurant policies on phone etiquette, guest interactions, and safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or Server in a busy restaurant environment with strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities as a Head Server or similar supervisory role within food service or hospitality settings
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and processing
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, food service standards, and guest relations best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong phone etiquette skills for managing reservations and guest inquiries professionally
