Full job description

The philosophy of the Residence Inn in Conshohocken is that our employees are our most valuable asset. Happy employees lead to happy guests, which results in returning guests.

Job Responsibilities:

The Front Desk Associate represents the hotel throughout all stages of the guest’s stay. The agent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes all phone calls received, and handles any special requests for accommodations or information on the general area. Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices.

1. Registers guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.

2. Assists in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.

3. Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit and cash handling procedures.

4. Assists with groups checking in and handles all pre-arrival needs.

5. Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.

6. Keep bank secure and accurate at all times.

7. Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all checkouts, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.

8. Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations system. Take reservations and cancellations as needed. Provide confirmation and cancellation numbers.

9. Processes guests check-in and check-outs.

10. Use proper telephone etiquette.

11. Read and initial the pass-on log and bulletin board daily. Is aware of daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.

12. Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.

13. Knows all safety and emergency procedures. Is aware of accident prevention policies.

14. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language (English) used by guests who visit the workplace.

15. Completes all other duties as assigned by Management staff.

Candidate must be flexible to work shifts 7AM - 3PM and 3PM - 11PM. Weekdays, weekends and Holidays.

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
