In‑House Draftsman / Dibujante Técnico Interno

Location / Ubicación: St. Thomas, USVI Employment Type / Tipo de puesto: Full-Time / Tiempo completo

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented In‑House Draftsman to join our production and engineering team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, capable of producing accurate technical drawings, and comfortable coordinating directly with our factory floor and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct field measurements to verify dimensions and ensure drawing accuracy.
Perform material take-offs for production and installation planning.
Prepare shop drawings with accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Create and manage submittals for client and contractor approval.
Coordinate with the factory floor to support production workflow and resolve technical questions.
Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
AutoCAD proficiency.
Strong understanding of drafting standards, construction details, and fabrication processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
3D modeling experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience

Background in millwork, cabinetry, architectural drafting, or related fields.
Experience working in a fast‑paced production or construction environment.

Estamos buscando un Dibujante Técnico Interno altamente capacitado y orientado al detalle para apoyar a nuestros equipos de ingeniería y producción. El candidato ideal debe dominar AutoCAD, producir planos técnicos precisos y coordinar eficazmente con el personal de campo y de fábrica. Este puesto es fundamental para garantizar una fabricación exacta, un flujo de trabajo eficiente y una ejecución de proyectos de alta calidad.

Responsabilidades Principales

·Preparar planos técnicos (shop drawings) precisos y detallados.

·Realizar take-offs de materiales para producción e instalación.

·Crear y gestionar submittals para aprobación de clientes y contratistas.

·Realizar mediciones en campo para verificar dimensiones y asegurar la precisión de los planos.

·Coordinar con el equipo de fábrica para apoyar la producción y resolver dudas técnicas.

·Mantener archivos de planos, revisiones y documentación organizados.

Habilidadesy Requisitos

·Dominio de AutoCAD (requisito indispensable).

·Conocimiento sólido de estándares de dibujo y detalles constructivos.

·Capacidad para leer e interpretar planos arquitectónicos y de ingeniería.

·Excelente atención al detalle y precisión.

·Buenas habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.

·Experiencia en modelado 3D es una ventaja.
