Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plastic injection molding machines and related industrial equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality. Your expertise in mechanical systems, automation controls, and precision measurement will be essential in supporting our commitment to high-quality manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.

Duties

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on plastic injection molding machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using engineering troubleshooting techniques and industrial equipment troubleshooting skills.
Calibrate and adjust machinery using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to ensure quality standards are met.
Operate hand tools, fabrication equipment, and materials handling tools safely and efficiently during maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation for all repairs performed; adhere to lean manufacturing practices to minimize downtime.
Assist with machine setup, assembly, and fabrication tasks as needed for production runs or equipment upgrades.
Support quality inspection processes by ensuring machinery operates within specified tolerances and standards are maintained throughout production cycles.
Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems controlling plastics blow molding, plastics extrusion, or injection molding processes.
Conduct safety checks on all equipment before operation; follow safety protocols related to warehouse experience and materials handling.

Experience

Proven experience working with plastics injection molding machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment including CNC machines, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and plastics extrusion systems.
Hands-on experience with machine operation, fabrication, machining processes, and assembly tasks.
Skilled in the use of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial troubleshooting techniques, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations is preferred.
Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and machine adjustments.
Experience with materials handling procedures within a manufacturing or warehouse setting is advantageous.
