Position Summary

The Prep Cook II is an intermediate-level culinary role responsible for preparing ingredients that support daily kitchen operations at the Racquets Club. This position plays a key role in ensuring the kitchen is organized, efficient, and fully prepared to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their culinary foundation while working in a supportive and energetic setting.

What You’ll Do

Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic food preparation
Follow standardized recipes and prep lists with accuracy and consistency
Maintain proper labeling, dating, and storage of all food items
Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory, including product rotation (FIFO)
Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked
Support the culinary team during service as needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

1–2 years of kitchen or culinary experience preferred
Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organization
Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a casual dining, club, or hospitality environment
Culinary training or education
Experience working in high-volume kitchens

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
