Restaurant General Manager | Reston, VA

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume, upscale casual restaurant in the Reston area. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established and growing restaurant group that values strong leadership, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences.

Position Overview

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, providing leadership across all areas of the operation while delivering exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance. This individual will lead by example, develop future leaders, and maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct all day-to-day restaurant operations while ensuring exceptional execution, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing management and hourly team.
Create a culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous development.
Drive sales while effectively managing labor, food cost, inventory, and operating expenses.
Analyze financial performance, including P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and operational metrics.
Maintain outstanding guest relations by ensuring prompt resolution of service opportunities.
Ensure company standards, food safety practices, and operational procedures are consistently executed.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and identify future leadership talent.
Partner with support teams to continuously improve restaurant performance.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of General Manager or comparable senior leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
Demonstrated success leading large teams and developing future managers.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and budgets.
Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable utilizing POS systems and standard business software.
Self-motivated with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.
