Position Description:
CGI Federal seeks an experienced Momentum Senior Support Business Analyst to join a dynamic program supporting a federal agency wide financial system. In this role, you'll perform day to day financial management tasks in Momentum, providing escalation level support, improving processes, and acting as a bridge between clients and technical teams. This position offers growth in client engagement, technical knowledge, and innovation within a mature and collaborative environment.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Resolve support tickets (payments, budget discrepancies, interfaces, journal entries) in Momentum
. Analyze business processes, document requirements, and develop/configure solutions
. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot escalated issues
. Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities
. Assist with internal control and audit readiness tasks
. Coordinate and test system updates, patches, or upgrades
. Communicate regularly with clients via help desk, user group forums, and stakeholder meetings
. Provide functional testing support: build test scenarios, validate Momentum configurations and reports
. Mentor business analysts and contribute to best practices sharing
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5-8 years of hands on experience with Momentum (Accounts Payable, Budget Execution, Vendors, General Ledger, or Reporting modules)
. Background in federal financial systems
. Strong analytical/problem solving skills
. Strategic/critical thinking
. Familiarity with federal financial processes
. Strong oral and written communication
. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. SQL experience (querying, troubleshooting data issues, analytics support)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $71,700.00 $156,700.00.
