Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Your expertise in tax laws, accounting principles, and financial software will ensure clients receive thorough and timely tax services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your tax experience while providing exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships. Duties

Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using advanced tax preparation software
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying updated on current regulations
Gather and review financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, receipts, and bank statements
Conduct thorough analysis of client financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential liabilities
Provide Adjusting Journal Entries or coordinate with Bookkeepers to resolve financial discrepancies
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax-related issues clearly
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes
Maintain accurate records of all tax documents, reports, and correspondence for audit readiness
Support client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and excellent customer service skills

Qualifications

Proven experience in tax preparation, accounting, or finance with a strong understanding of tax law and compliance standards
Proficiency in tax preparation software such as TurboTax, Drake Tax, or similar platforms
Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent financial management tools
Solid knowledge of public accounting practices and corporate accounting principles
Strong analysis skills to interpret complex financial data accurately
Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency preferred)
Experience with partnership and corporate tax reporting is highly desirable
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
