- Ability to work directly from verbal instructions, blueprints, technical specifications, and sketches.
- Ability to align parts using established reference points. Keep machines, fixtures, and materials clear of debris and chips.
- Ability to monitor machine operations to identify issues (worn tooling, bad coolant flow, improper speeds/feeds, or defects).
- Ability to resolve basic issues by adjusting the machine/fixtures or escalate complex problems to senior personnel.
- Ability to utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier gages, indicators) to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Ability to assist with basic mechanical component repairs using established techniques.
