Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, professional, and safety-conscious driver to join a growing transportation business serving the Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads area.
The business will initially operate through Uber and similar transportation platforms, with plans to expand into private transportation, airport transportation, executive transportation, special-event transportation, and chauffeur/limo services.
The selected driver will operate a company-provided GMC Yukon XL Denali. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, has a strong driving record, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and would like to grow with a developing transportation company.
Responsibilities
The Professional Driver will be responsible for:
- Safely transporting passengers throughout Virginia Beach and the greater Hampton Roads area
- Operating and maintaining a company-provided GMC Yukon XL Denali in a professional manner
- Completing rides through Uber or other approved transportation platforms during the company’s initial operating phase
- Providing courteous, professional, and dependable customer service
- Maintaining a clean and professional appearance
- Keeping the vehicle clean, organized, and passenger-ready
- Performing basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Immediately reporting vehicle damage, mechanical issues, accidents, citations, or safety concerns
- Following all traffic laws and company safety requirements
- Maintaining accurate trip, mileage, fuel, and other required records
- Assisting with airport pickups/drop-offs and scheduled transportation as the business expands
- Eventually supporting private transportation, corporate clients, special events, and chauffeur services
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A valid driver’s license
- A good driving record
- A history of safe and responsible driving
- Reliable transportation to and from the company vehicle’s designated location
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- A professional and courteous demeanor
- Ability to safely operate a full-size SUV
- Ability to use smartphone-based navigation and rideshare applications
- Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record checks
- Willingness to comply with Uber and/or other transportation-platform driver eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Previous Uber, Lyft, taxi, chauffeur, limousine, executive transportation, or delivery-driving experience
- Experience transporting executives, military personnel, airport passengers, or VIP clients
- Familiarity with Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and the greater Hampton Roads area
- Strong knowledge of Norfolk International Airport and surrounding transportation routes
- Prior military service or experience working in a professional/customer-facing environment
- Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
Previous professional driving experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Compensation is based off a Daily Rate and/or Percentage of Revenue, and can be negotiated
