The Royal Chocolate is looking for two reliable, outgoing people to help us spread the word about our boutique chocolate shop in Virginia Beach Town Center.
This is a part-time, boots-on-the-ground marketing role. You’ll help us with local flyer distribution, face-to-face promotion, and simple guerrilla marketing tasks around Town Center and select nearby Virginia Beach locations.
This is not a sit-behind-the-counter job.
We need people who are comfortable walking, talking to people, representing the brand well, and doing the work honestly when no one is standing over them.
About The Role
This role is for someone who can help us get The Royal Chocolate in front of more people locally.
You may be out in Town Center handing out flyers, placing promotional materials in approved areas, helping promote seasonal offers, or bringing awareness to special events, drink specials, chocolate gifts, and experiences happening at the shop.
The right person does not need to be pushy. But they do need to be friendly, dependable, and comfortable talking to people face-to-face.
What You’ll Do
You may be asked to:
- Hand out flyers face-to-face in Virginia Beach Town Center
- Place flyers in approved local areas and strategic nearby locations
- Help promote special offers, events, drink specials, and seasonal campaigns
- Speak with people briefly and professionally about The Royal Chocolate
- Follow assigned routes or instructions
- Track where flyers were distributed
- Report completed routes, drop locations, and basic results
- Represent The Royal Chocolate with warmth, professionalism, and energy

This role requires trust. If we give you flyers, routes, or assignments, we need to know the work is actually being done.
Schedule
This is a part-time role to start.
Expected hours:
- A 5-9 strategic hours per week
- Some weekday opportunities
- Some weekend shifts
- Not every weekend required
- Schedule may vary based on promotions, events, and Town Center activity
We are hiring two people so the hours can be shared.
Requirements
- Must be dependable
- Must have reliable transportation to Virginia Beach Town Center
- Must be comfortable walking outdoors for 1–3 hours at a time
- Must be comfortable speaking to people face-to-face
- Must be able to follow a route or assignment
- Must be able to provide simple completion updates after each shift
- Must pass a background check
Nice to Have
- Previous street team experience
- Brand ambassador experience
- Event, sales, hospitality, or promotional experience
- Familiarity with Virginia Beach Town Center
- Comfortable taking photos of completed flyer drops or route progress when requested
- Positive, outgoing personality
Pay
Starting at $15/hour.
This is a part-time role with the potential for more hours as local marketing and promotional campaigns grow.

The Royal Chocolate is a hospitality-first chocolate boutique in Virginia Beach Town Center. We make premium chocolates, chocolate-covered strawberries, gourmet apples, sipping chocolate, frozen hot chocolate, and curated chocolate gifts.
