Full Job Description

Lighthouse Therapeutic Services is seeking new talent to join our team. We’re searching for a Clinical Services Program Director who is motivated, knowledgeable, and will be a valuable asset to our expansion.

Lighthouse Therapeutic Services is a trauma and recovery informed mental health and substance abuse agency that specializes in treating adults. We are licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to provide substance abuse services.

As an essential member of the management team, the Clinical Services Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director and works with a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals to manage the clinical operations, provide clinical consultation and guidance to the team, manage intake and admission of program participants, and maintaining the program’s census and participant discharges. The Clinical Services Program Director will also ensure the completion of all clinical documentation, and work cooperatively with other team members to improve the symptoms of those assigned to his or her caseload.

Responsibilities

Exhibits leadership and team-building skills to promote a person-centered, patient-accountable culture among the team, among the department, and across the agency.

Provide direct supervision and oversight to the program clinical staff – to include the documentation necessary for supervisory roles.
The continued planning, implementation, and oversight of the clinical services provided by the program.
Develop and/or oversee the development of individual treatment plans in coordination with program staff, other relevant service providers, client's family (when appropriate) and client.
Provide appropriate feedback and training for program staff regarding record and file keeping.
Provide a plan for group and/or individual counseling, as defined by each client's clinical treatment plan.
Facilitate and/or coordinate clinical in-service training. Develop the curriculum for therapeutic groups.
Collaborate with program management and staff regarding therapeutic milieu and clinical orientation of program.
Facilitate family meetings and home visits, as defined by each client's clinical treatment plan.
Act as a liaison with psychiatrists and other pertinent agencies providing auxiliary clinical services, when necessary.
Coordinate, facilitate, and/or participate in case conferences, treatment meetings and clinical review meetings, as appropriate.
Extensive understanding of the ASAM criteria and substance use curriculums
Maintaining familiarity with all program emergency procedures and advising on adjustments as necessary.
Conducts groups, workshops, and trainings as appropriate.
Audits client’s records to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifically monitors treatment plans, progress notes, medication, education and management, discharge summaries and plans
Ensures compliance with regulations and guidelines issued by DBHDS and DMAS and other applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Qualified candidates will have at least a graduate degree in Counseling or Social Work. A clinical license (LPC/LCSW) and experience in substance use disorder/alcohol use disorder treatment and co-occurring mental disorder treatment preferred.
