The Role:

The mailroom clerk is responsible for handling all inbound/outbound mail and functions associated with Mailroom tasks and assisting with other office duties as needed.

Essential Duties

Receive, sort and process incoming mail documents, packages, and supplies. Notify and distribute to proper recipients.
Record and process accountable mail information such as payments, internal/confidential and community mail, verify and maintain accuracy of transmittal logs, and create transmittal logs as needed.
Perform finishing work on documents to be mailed, such as folding and insertion, creating certified mail forms and applying proper postage.
Enter USPS, FEDEX and UPS tracking data into system for verification of payments or documents received.
Scanning and digitizing payments and documents as requested.
Assist with other office duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Mailroom or delivery services experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Able to lift and move up to 50lbs.
Able to demonstrate ability to read, write and follow English instructions.
Ability to spend most of the workday on feet.
Ability to operate mailroom equipment including inserters, calculators, and postage meters.
