Full Job Description

The City of Hibbing is seeking a highly organized, professional, and motivated Senior Executive Assistant to provide advanced administrative and confidential support to City leadership, including the City Council, City Administrator, City Clerk/Deputy Administrator, Human Resources, Economic Development, and the Hibbing Economic Development Authority (HEDA).

Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a closely related field required. Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience involving executive-level support, governmental administration, human resources, legal, economic development, or closely related work, and experience handling highly confidential information required. Valid Minnesota driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

This key position coordinates meetings, agendas, official records, special projects, licensing activities, and communications while serving as a trusted resource for elected officials, staff, business leaders, and the public. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion, and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. An associate degree in a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible executive administrative experience are required; municipal government experience is preferred.
