God's Valley is a non-denominational Church plant based in Hanford Ca. in the central valley california to focus on building the faith and inspiring everyone to follow and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are a community church that builds on reaching others. We are a church that builds on the Jesus Way, the way we act, teach, fellowship, and work to build the God’s Kingdom. Our Name is about that we need to remember that God’s here with us, walking with us in our bad, mistake, good and in our battles. That God will never leave us. We trust God in everything.
The pastor shall serve as the chief of a campus Location under-shepherd and overseer of the senior pastor at God’s Valley Church to feed, lead and nurture the sheep. This person’s main responsibilities will be to communicate God’s Word, minister to spiritual needs and provide biblical leadership for the church
Purpose: God’s Valley Church is a small, relational church where seekers of Jesus are encouraged to be real and genuine and do life together as a family. We are seeking a Pastor who will lead God’s Valley Church and carry on our values of belonging, growing, and serving in the Campus Location area and beyond. The Pastor will provide inspirational teaching and counsel to the congregation, oversight, and support to the staff, perspective, and insight to the leadership board, and actively identify and develop new leaders within the church body. The Pastor will work together with our Leadership and Board members. The Lead Pastor must be willing to perform his duties in accordance with the constitution and bylaws of God’s Valley Church.
Our location campus Lead Pastor who will:
- Shepherd the flock: Pastor, encourage, protect, and inspire your congregation to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the world. Ensure the congregation progresses through our “transformational loop” (worship services to groups to volunteering to outreach opportunities) so that the people are well-cared for, disciplined, and find joy in Jesus. Perform pastoral duties such as weddings, funerals, baptisms and coaching/counseling for those in your congregation.
- Serve as a missionary in your city: Be the lead missionary for your congregation in your community. Cast the vision for reaching and serving your local community. The Lead pastor in the God’s Valley will build a customized strategy to reach your city. Develop partnerships with city and neighborhood officials as well as nearby God’s Valley Outreach locations.
- Equip God’s people for ministry: Lead and equip the staff and key leaders at the congregation to develop volunteers so that each ministry in your congregation can grow in a healthy way. Work with the central teams to provide coaching, training, and best practices for all ministries.
- Foster generosity and stewardship: Build a culture of generosity in your congregation. Encourage giving as an act of obedience and an expression of love for God’s church. Consistently, intentionally, and lovingly invite givers and prospective givers to take next steps in their generosity. Lead your team to wisely steward the resources entrusted to the congregation.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a faithful student of the Bible and as a preacher/teacher to present well-organized, Bible-based sermons and lessons that edify, challenge, and encourage the church as well as promote the passionate worship of God.
- Disciple the congregation through Bible study with the aim to develop their Christian maturity and depth of biblical understanding with life applications.
- Ensure that the church maintains a focus on providing a variety of programs and initiatives that engage and involve members of every generation.
- Provide guidance and oversight to church committees and other teams in a manner that helps them to thrive independently
- Support all the ministry programs that prepare in the ministry for independent Christian adult living, foster a fellowship of believers, and promote Bible-based life choices.
- Lead the congregation in efforts to grow God’s Kingdom and to reach the lost and the unchurched and live out the Great Commission.
- Work with church members and attendees to help them identify how they can utilize their gifts and find a place to serve the Lord within the church and in missions and ministry.
- Administer the believer’s baptism, communion, funerals, weddings, child dedications; participate in homebound and hospital visits.
- Cooperate with local, associational, state, and other Christian leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern, and represent the church in local civic matters
- Provide supervision and direction to all God’s Valley Church employees and exercise the authority to administer corrective action to church staff when necessary.
- Guide and advise members with compassion while adhering to bold truths of the gospel in daily world challenges focusing on God’s Kingdom
Primary Responsibilities
Preaching & Teaching
- Preach delivering biblically sound, Spirit-led sermons that proclaim the Gospel and apply God’s Word to everyday life.
- Lead and coordinate the preaching calendar in collaboration with staff and elders.
- Provide teaching and training opportunities in other ministry contexts (Bible studies, classes, groups, etc.).
Vision & Leadership
- Work alongside the elders to prayerfully discern and communicate the vision and direction of the church.
- Lead and shepherd staff and ministry leaders, providing accountability, encouragement, and development.
- Encourage and equip the congregation to live on mission and use their gifts for Kingdom impact.
Pastoral Care & Shepherding
- Provide pastoral care through counseling, hospital/home visits, and prayer.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral functions.
- Promote unity within the body and shepherd the church toward spiritual health and maturity.
Staff & Volunteer Oversight
- Provide oversight, coaching, and support the ministry staff (Children’s Director, Worship Leader, Administrative Assistant).
- Work with elders and staff to foster a healthy culture of teamwork, servant leadership,and volunteer engagement

Qualifications & Experience
- Gradation from a university seminary or Christian base school have Experience in ministry
- Supports God’s Valley Church's faith, message, mission statement, and our Vision.
- Experience in managing staff (primary supervisor and administrator of staff)
- Demonstrated effectiveness in communicating through multiple media with church members
- Successful experience sharing leadership responsibility with staff, deacons, Elders board, committee, teachers, and others
- Experience supporting mission involvement at the local, state, national and international levels.
- Demonstrated ministry leadership experience (+5 years preferred), experience in a church or para-church organization preferred
- Experience and knowledge in leading multiple teams, multi-site ministry experience is plus
- Excellent communication skills - verbal (confident and comfortable speaking in front of large groups), written, and relational
Pay: $1.00 - $100,000.00 per year
