The Events Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all Foundation events are well run and attended, and serves as liaison to the Foundation board, board committees and community donors. The Events Coordinator seeks ways to expand the Foundation’s presence through social media and community engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Required: Minimum one year of fundraising experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be personable, able to get along with people, a skillful communicator both in person and in writing.
Must be highly organized and able to work independently.
Must have a basic understanding and skills related to use of computers pertinent to the needs and requirements of the department.
Must have willingness to learn programs specific to the department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Responsible for all Foundation and Development Department events under the direction of the Director of the Foundation. Leads all grass roots fundraising events.
Responsible for booking event venues for fundraisers, ensuring program and speakers are prepared, all decorations are ordered, and other items that ensure a successful event.
Works closely with marketing to ensure that all program materials are ready for events. Creates brochures, Save the Dates, and Invitations as needed.
Meets with organizational leaders in the community to build relationships and to increase awareness of the Foundation events. These meetings include, but are not limited to, Golf Classic sponsors, school district officials for student contests, and other grass roots fundraising organizations.
Leads the Foundation’s efforts to engage and recruit young donors through innovative methods, such as contests which resonate with them. Often performs this function in collaboration with the Foundation Coordinator.
Serves as assist to Director of Foundation with all fundraising activities including but not limited to capital and annual campaigns and other campaigns as needed. Attends all meetings associated with these campaigns.
Helps to works with the Golf Classic, Heritage Club Dinner committees, Twinkle and Toast, and Hospice Events to recruit sponsors for the events. Develops appropriate registration and marketing materials for them as well as for grassroots fundraising events. Makes calls to donors reminding them of times and dates. Responsible for their job assignments, scheduling, and performance.
Assists the Director of the Foundation with Employee Annual Campaigns as needed, particularly those activities involving events.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.

Pay Range
$23.37 -$35.05
