Screen Printing Production Assistant / Operator Trainee

Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Position Overview
We're looking for a dependable production team member to support our screen-printing operation while developing the skills required to become an automatic press operator.
This is a hands-on production role that works closely with our senior operator and production team. Responsibilities include pulling, loading garments, quality control, setup assistance, reclaiming screens, ink mixing, and other production support tasks. The right candidate will have the opportunity to learn automatic press operation and take on increasing responsibility over time.
This role is ideal for someone who already has some screen-printing experience and wants to continue growing in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Pull and inspect garments during production runs
- Load garments and help keep production flowing efficiently
- Perform quality control checks throughout production
- Assist with setup and teardown of print jobs
- Mix inks and help maintain color consistency
- Reclaim and clean screens as part of the production workflow
- Assist with screen preparation and shop organization
- Support inventory, production preparation, and general shop duties
- Learn automatic press operation and production workflow under the guidance of senior team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of screen-printing production experience preferred, including pulling, loading, setup assistance, reclaiming, ink mixing, manual press operation, or automatic press operation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working on your feet in a production environment throughout the day
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Willing to help wherever needed, including setup, cleanup, and reclaiming
- Able to communicate well and work effectively with others
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

- Not a design or office role
- Not a position where you'll only perform one task all day
- Not a good fit for someone who prefers working independently without supporting the team
Compensation
- $18–22 per hour, depending on experience
- Advancement opportunities based on skills, performance, and demonstrated proficiency
Work Environment
- In-person role in Vista, CA
- Monday–Friday
- Typical hours are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Small team environment
- No remote work
