The Opportunity
Excellis Interactive is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Account Manager / Client Partner to lead the day-to-day management and continued growth of one of our most important enterprise client relationships. This role goes beyond traditional account management. You will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, identify opportunities to expand the partnership, translate business needs into actionable solutions, and coordinate the people and processes required to deliver successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional relationship-building skills with business acumen, consultative sales experience, and a strong understanding of digital technology, AI, software platforms, customer experience, and enterprise delivery. You will work closely with client stakeholders and Excellis teams across strategy, UX, engineering, product management, creative, recruiting, finance, and operations. Success requires the ability to move comfortably between client conversations, opportunity development, proposal creation, contracting, resource planning, recruiting support, delivery oversight, and consultant success.
In This Role You Will
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with executive stakeholders, buying managers, and day-to-day client partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client relationship and ensure consistent, responsive communication.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's organization, business priorities, technology environment, operating challenges, and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and develop opportunities to expand existing work and introduce new Excellis capabilities.
- Lead consultative conversations related to digital transformation, customer experience, software solutions, enterprise platforms, workflow modernization, AI, and generative AI.
- Turn loosely defined client needs into clear opportunities, proposed solutions, delivery approaches, and commercial engagements.
- Lead strategic account-planning sessions aligned with client objectives and Excellis growth priorities.
- Create and present persuasive pitch decks, proposals, estimates, staffing plans, and statements of work.
- Translate client resource needs into clear job requirements and compelling job descriptions.
- Partner with Excellis recruiters to review applicants, shortlist qualified candidates, and identify professionals who are ready to represent Excellis in a client-facing environment.
- Prepare candidates for client interviews by helping them understand the role, project, stakeholders, expectations, and client environment.
- Partner with internal delivery teams to ensure client expectations and business outcomes remain aligned.
- Manage expectations across scope, budget, timeline, resources, priorities, and deliverables.
- Proactively identify relationship, delivery, staffing, and commercial risks and facilitate their resolution.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction, consultant success, account retention, and revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a structured account plan covering key stakeholders, active engagements, contracts, opportunities, risks, and next actions.
- Build relationships across multiple client organizations and identify new decision-makers, sponsors, influencers, and buying managers.
- Schedule and conduct regular client meetings, relationship check-ins, discovery conversations, and opportunity-development sessions.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations that clearly communicate the client need, Excellis value, recommended solution, project approach, timeline, required resources, budget, and anticipated outcomes.
- Socialize ideas and draft recommendations with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and build alignment before formal presentations or contract submissions.
- Own opportunities from initial discovery through proposal development, approval, contracting, staffing, onboarding, delivery, and renewal.
- Create statements of work using approved templates, including executive summaries, scope, services, deliverables, acceptance criteria, timelines, staffing, pricing, and invoice milestones.
- Develop and maintain accurate estimates and deal sheets covering resource costs, client pricing, revenue, and projected margin.
- Coordinate with Excellis leadership, finance, operations, and legal resources to ensure engagements are commercially sound and properly approved.
- Navigate enterprise procurement, contracting, compliance, background-check, access, and onboarding requirements.
- Work directly with client stakeholders to understand the roles, skills, experience, and working styles required for each engagement.
- Convert client staffing needs into accurate, engaging job descriptions suitable for recruiting platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
- Partner closely with Excellis recruiting resources throughout the sourcing and candidate-selection process.
- Review resumes and applicant materials, help shortlist the strongest candidates, and participate in internal screening interviews.
- Evaluate candidates for relevant experience, communication skills, professionalism, cultural fit, and readiness to work in a client-facing enterprise environment.
- Help ensure that only qualified, well-prepared candidates are presented to client hiring managers.
- Prepare shortlisted candidates for client-side interviews by explaining the role, project objectives, stakeholder expectations, team culture, interview format, and likely discussion areas.
- Coach candidates on how to communicate their experience clearly and position themselves effectively without scripting or misrepresenting their qualifications.
- Coordinate candidate submissions, client interviews, feedback, rate alignment, start dates, and onboarding activities.
- Oversee internal and client onboarding requirements, including paperwork, training, security, credentials, equipment, badges, and system access.
- Act as the primary Excellis point of contact for consultants assigned to the account.
- Conduct regular consultant and client-manager check-ins, address concerns early, and help ensure each consultant remains successful throughout the engagement.
- Partner with delivery leaders to monitor performance, milestones, dependencies, risks, and client satisfaction.
- Anticipate renewals and extensions early, confirm future needs, and begin the proposal and contracting process before existing engagements expire.
- Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and provide leadership with regular updates on account health, revenue outlook, staffing needs, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Represent Excellis with professionalism, sound judgment, responsiveness, and a genuine commitment to the client's success.
Ideal Match
- A trusted relationship builder who earns credibility quickly and maintains strong long-term partnerships.
- A strategic thinker who can connect immediate client needs to broader business and technology opportunities.
- A consultative problem solver who listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and turns ambiguity into a practical plan.
- Comfortable engaging with executives while remaining willing to manage detailed operational follow-through.
- Able to recognize strong talent and assess whether a candidate will be successful in a demanding client-facing environment.
- Willing to participate actively in recruiting, candidate evaluation, interview preparation, and onboarding - not simply hand staffing needs to another team.
- Naturally curious about business strategy, digital technology, software, AI, customer experience, and emerging market trends.
- Commercially minded and able to balance client value, delivery quality, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple stakeholders, opportunities, contracts, candidates, resources, and priorities simultaneously.
- A strong communicator who can produce executive-ready written materials and lead persuasive presentations.
- Proactive in identifying risks, resolving issues, and closing communication or ownership gaps.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities and opportunities may evolve quickly.
- Energized by both protecting an important client relationship and expanding it through trust, insight, talent, and successful delivery.
