Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and inquisitive Project Accountant / Data Analyst to join our team with a starting salary between 40,000 to 50,000 per year. This person will be responsible for project tracking, billing, change orders, interacting with prime contractors and TxDOT officials from start through completion of construction projects, as well as post completion audits. This position has the capability of developing new responsibilities as we promote from within. This person should be ready to work in a collaborative environment and looking to innovate and multitask on a daily basis. Previous experience is NOT required as we prefer to train people in the methods as we have learned over the past decades.

Responsibilities

Track project completions and project progress
Be able to anticipate potential problems and come up with solutions to avoid project impacts
Track pay item completions weekly and compile the information for monthly invoicing
Allocate labor hours to items of work completed on the project
Generate, organize, and maintain project documentation
Be involved with status updates and project meetings
Analyze project performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes

Requirements

Accounting knowledge is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate
Strong organizational skills with a focus on time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Investigative and analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
