Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working the 6 PM to 6 AM shift! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and more. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure our patients receive the respectful and attentive care they deserve. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values your skills and dedication.

Duties

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems
Support medical staff with procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs
Assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids in compliance with safety protocols
Document patient interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive care

Requirements

Valid CNA certification with current state licensure required for practice
Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique
Prior experience with critical care areas such as ICU or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including patient lifting and transfers safely and effectively
Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward patients of all ages and backgrounds
