This role isresponsible for fostering a positive, developmentally appropriate experience that emphasizesskill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character growth for all students.The position plays a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging athletic environmentthat supports students physical, social, and emotional development.Working closely with the Athletic Director and other school leaders, the Drumline Coach ensurescontinuity in philosophy and programming while maintaining a distinct focus on the needs of thestudents.Key Responsibilities: Create practice schedulesArrange transportation for drums for gamesHandle schedule changes, cancellations, and weather decisionsOversee student eligibility (academic, behavioral, attendance)Support student-athlete development and well-beingAddress student or parent concerns related to drumlineEnsure inclusive participation and fair playing time policies (as applicable)Manage team placement and roster sizesEnforce safety protocols and concussion policiesEnsure proper supervision at practices and gamesCoordinate athletic physicals, medical forms, and waiversOversee emergency action plans and incident reportingEnsure compliance with league rules and school policiesManage equipment inventory and uniformsCoordinate purchasing, storage, and maintenance with Business Office CoordinatorEnsure facilities are safe and ready for useWork with facilities staff on setup and cleanup for eventsServe as the main point of contact for parents regarding athleticsCommunicate schedules, expectations, and policies clearlyPromote positive school spirit and sportsmanshipQualifications: Previous experience in drumline style program leadershipProven skills in scheduling games, coordinating practices, and organizing athletic eventsExperience managing drumline budgets, purchasing, and equipment inventoryAbility to coordinate transportation, facilities, and logistical operations for drumline teamsStrong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with students, parents,faculty, and school administrationAbility to support and promote the mission and values of a private school communityExperience with fundraising, booster organizations, and community engagementPR, First Aid, and AED certification (required or preferred)Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skillsHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to student development
