Full Job Description

GLS is seeking a qualified Licensed Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, as well as experience in designing and managing a variety of civil engineering projects. This position is responsible for planning, designing, and managing a variety of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, stormwater systems, and water and wastewater systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working with municipalities and internal departments, such as architecture and surveying, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Salary is dependent on qualifications and range from $80K - $120K.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage clients and staff/resources
Manage and review of plans/designs of a variety of engineering projects, including site development, roads, bridges, stormwater systems, and water and wastewater systems.
Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and estimates for construction projects.
Inspect construction projects to ensure that they are completed in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Work with other city departments and outside agencies to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Stay up-to-date on the latest civil engineering technologies and practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Maintains Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
3+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
General knowledge withAutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position has the potential to earn year-end bonuses and ownership within GLS.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
