Yard Supervisor – Aggregate & Trucking Operations

Dirt Rocks is looking for an experienced and dependable Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our aggregate plant in Waco, TX. This position is hands-on and will be responsible for coordinating yard activities, material shipments, trucking operations, and train unloading.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can work independently, communicate effectively with truck drivers and customers, and keep daily operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily yard and plant activities
- Coordinate the shipping and loading of aggregate materials
- Schedule and coordinate trucking and truck drivers
- Manage incoming and outgoing material shipments
- Coordinate and oversee train unloading/off-loading operations
- Monitor inventory and material movement
- Ensure trucks are loaded accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with drivers, customers, vendors, and management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard
- Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines
- Assist with resolving day-to-day operational and shipping issues
- Complete required paperwork, shipping documents, and load records
- Help ensure equipment and yard operations are functioning properly
- Perform other duties as needed to support plant operation
Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment Operator Experience Required
- Previous experience in aggregate, trucking, construction materials, logistics, or plant/yard operations preferred
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work around heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial operations
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be willing to work in a drug-free workplace
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position

We need someone who is hands-on, dependable, safety-minded, and knows how to keep things moving. Experience with aggregate materials, trucking, rail unloading, dispatching, or plant operations is a strong plus.
