START DATE: FALL 2026
Teach didactic courses and coordinate clinical education within the Associate of Applied Science Health Information Technology (HIT )program, including planning, supervising, and evaluating student clinical experiences at affiliated healthcare facilities while providing instruction in health information management, coding, and related coursework. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours, traveling to clinical sites to support student learning and healthcare partnerships, serving on college committees, participating in professional development and faculty evaluations, promoting the department and its mission, supporting student success, and contributing to college and community activities. Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned, which could include non-traditional venues, such as evening, weekend, dual-credit, blended, and/or online courses. Faculty are expected to accept courses as assigned which could include face-to-face and non-traditional modalities or time frames, such as evening, weekend, dual credit, blended, and/or online courses. This position exercises no supervision.

Provide caring, high-quality service by creating welcoming experiences, communicating clearly and proactively, addressing needs with professionalism and empathy, and ensuring individuals are thoughtfully connected to appropriate resources; 20. Move into department leadership role.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical effort-restricted: Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Light lifting (less than 30 lbs.), some walking, pushing and pulling on a regular basis. Work environment: Minimal hazard/exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Informatics, Computer Information Systems, Health Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: One year of work experience in Health Information Technology; One Year of work experience may be waived with higher levels of educational attainment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Health Informatics, Computer Information Systems, Health Information Technology, or related field. Education beyond a bachelor’s degree given additional consideration. Current RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CDIP, CHDA, or CHPS certification a plus.
